FCAA Hamburger & Fry Stand Information

The team work schedule will show when your team is required to work during the Freeburg Homecoming weekend, August 19th – 20th, 2011.  Coaches are responsible for running your shift and ensuring you have at least 10-12 workers for the stand.

The Hamburger Stand will be located under the far west pavilion in the main park area.  We will be cooking, grilling and serving the food this year.  Cook: Hot dogs/Hamburgers, Fry: French Fries and Serve!  Most shifts will be 1 1/2 hours each and will overlap by 1/2 hour.  When your replacement arrives, you can hand things over.  Your responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Coaches should call all parents to remind them of the time they are to work.  All parents agreed and signed a statement at registration that they would work a shift for every child they signed up for FCAA ball.  Now is the time.
  2. Each shift can expect:

    Hamburger Stand
      • 2 Grillers to keep hamburgers and grilled onions going
      • 2 Fry Cooks to make French Fries
      • Brats are cooked by Tom's and provided in warmers throughout the weekend
      • 1 Cashier
      • 5-7 Servers – These folks take the orders, fill the orders and keep the condiments full on the stand counter and out at the condiment bar located in front of our stand.  This also includes cutting up the tomatoes and onions throughout the weekend.  Usually, the early shifts prep for the later shifts that evening.

  3. The supplies for the stand will be there and will be lined out by the prior shift staff.  In the past there has been a supply truck for dry goods and a refrigerated truck for cold items.  We share these with the Fish/Chicken Stand on the south end of our pavilion.
  4. FCAA members have shifts around most of the non-FCAA member's shift to provide a bit of continuity and to give those who have never done the stand a little support.

The schedule will also be posted in the Freeburg Tribune the week before the Homecoming.  If you had a team of older players, you can have a few of your players work the stand.  They cannot do the cashier position or cook; they can help serve.  We cannot allow all child servers, so please use your judgment on that when staffing your shift.  A few adults are necessary and must be present to manage things.

We appreciate your support.  The stands are a fun time to talk about the season and catch up since the season ended.  You are provided beverages during your shift to keep you hydrated and going strong.

See you there –
